James Owens is a licensed architect with over 17 years of experience in a variety of project types, including retail, convenience stores, healthcare, animal care, and historic restoration. As one of the firm’s team leads, James manages projects from schematic design through permitting, bidding, and the construction phases. In addition to mentoring colleagues, James coordinates with each in-house design/engineering discipline to ensure successful and timely project completion as well as keeping the project team focused on goals and objectives.



With his expertise in convenience store design, James leads a dedicated and highly specialized group of design professionals who are leading the industry in creating innovative design initiatives to improve customer’s in-store experience as well as increased in-store purchases. James has in-depth and working experience with high volume store roll-out design/construction as well as unique, custom store and branding design.
